PROVA DI LAVORO SU SELVAGGINA NATURALE IN ZONA DOC - SPECIALE VIZSLA - CAC MOIANO (PG) 25.02.2017
4° CQN – Sancho di Cutonilli – Condotto da Cutonilli
The Trial Special for Vizslas on natural game in the DOC area in partnership with theKennel Club of Treviso and held on the beautiful grounds of the ZRC "Middle Piave and Postojna” opens the 2017 competition season of the Associazione Magyar Vizsla Club Italiano.
A prestigious start of the new year that all we'll remember, with the company of friends and enthusiasts came also from Germany. We had the honor and pleasure to host in our Battery three German subjects, two of which were already known during the 18th European Vizsla Cup held the last October in Tuscany and belonging to the team of Germany.
The morning was sunny but very cold, dawn the thermometer indicates - 7 ° C.
The frozen ground, the cold weather combined with a persistent drought makes the test very tough, with a very clever games, but still usefully retrieved in the soils. The area intended for the test is the so-called "The Pit", an area of dry moorland surrounded by a dense sour and limestone masses of the river basin of the Piave.
Nine Vizsla in the battery. The rounds take place with serene sportsmanship under the watchful and prepared expert Omar Canovi's judgment, Judge we had the honor of having already as official selector of our breed in the course of 2016 and a member of our Technical Committee.
The cold air cuts the low vegetation and cuts the uncovered faces of the excited handlers to take the field not less than their eager auxiliaries. The great cold and ice it's a hard test for the dogs, for the conductors and for the Judge. Nevertheless, the quality of the competing subjects, the professionalism of the handlers and the game, allowed the sproud of a ranking in a top qualification and a splendid final couple turn.
Capacity, performance and style are, in summary, the purpose of the field trials and that is what the expert judges must test, in addition to the natural qualities of the participants among which includes the ability to learn the man's trainings.
And Maserada confirms a tough and prestigious gym in which reveal the hunting health of the breed, proving the best test for the selection the hunting dogs.
The morning ends with the Canovi judge's report which is given here:
"I start thankings the Treviso Kennel Club and Mr. Edoardo Della Bella. Every year I am called and gladly come to judge here in Maserada where I find an exceptional setting and a real game, one that does not give chances to the dogs to be wrong. Dogs on this game and on such land at this time of year, must be able to demonstrate that they have so much hunting attitude, so much balance and ablility to serve in the best way the needs of a hunter. But basically dear Gentlemen, the note of practical hunt is this: to be able to detect those dogs who in the future will go to reproduce offspring that should serve the needs of a hunter. It is therefore difficult to find an area with a better wild than Maserada, to implement this project, which is the absolute purpose of our dogs.
Today is a Vizsla Special, special of breed, and then we will focus also on the hunting healt state of the Magyar Vizslas. I know this breed well because since three years on I collaborate with AMVCI in the Technical Committee. Last year we also reached a great satisfaction, to organize and win the 18th European Vizlsa Cup, which is therefore an added value for the Club AMVCI that in these three years is working, in my opinion, flawlessly.
The subjects in the catalog were nine, three of them came to visit from neighboring Germany, a round of applause for these lovers of the breed. In principle, the subjects that I have judged this morning were all in the note of the competition.
As far as the note of what I saw this morning I want to analyze three fundamental points on which especially we Italians have to work:
The head posture
The detail steps
The training on final moment.
Beyond these three components which are definitely to be improved, in principle, the dogs that have been presented this morning were all in the note of the competition to serve as best as possible the needs for the hunter.
Follow the ranking below: wins with
1st EXCELLENT Baru Von Schimberg by Mr. Kai Steeg
2nd VERY GOOD Elko Von Hentschenried by Mr. Hans Aumann
Baru is a great subject in hunting attitude. He faced a moorland and a forest in the best way. At the end of the round it went stops along a bush and respected two pheasants that have fledged perfectly located. In the couple tourn he played a self-employment.
Elko started quietly and went to judge a point in a straw mattress on the far right respecting correct to flutter. In the couple tourn he played a self-employment.
Thank you all and a good luck for the next".
We also join the thanks: first to our German friends who have faced a long journey in order to participate in our Special Competition, and to Christl Aumann for the fantastic photo shoot that she dedicated, and to the Porters always available there.
Special thanks go to Judge Mr Omar Canovi for his professionalism and availability that has always been reserved for us, and the President of the Treviso Kennel Club Mr Edoardo Della Bella without which AMVCI could not achieve so qualitatively important races.
A new season of struggles and hopes are looking out the door so we send a warm good luck to all!
